Like I've said, I don't know reggae much so I'm looking for someplace to start. What's a good reggae album that I could get on CD or download? Something that's typical reggae so I can get a good foundation in the genre.   ilovemikey

i would stick with  Bennie Man  or Elephant Man  only b/c if you don't know the music you would not know what they are saying and they sing the most clear and understand out of a lot of them

they use lots of Jamaican slang .  and if you don't know that you mite be lost on the song its self.

Jamaican accent = sexy  ilovemikey

There are very few genres that I just can't dig, and reggae is one of them.  I just despise it.  Bennie Man and Elephant Man are the more prominent reggae artists of our time, but I'd suggest Bob Marley, of course.
